| Project: | High Hill Ferry |
| Client: | TRAK Residential Ltd |
| Architects Name: | David Wood Architects |
| Contractors Name: | TRAK Residential Ltd |
| Approx Value: | £5M |
| Structural Form: | 6/7 storey rc flat slab with a 2 level semi-basement car park and steel framed roofs. Piled foundations. |
| Comments: | The project was a mixed housing scheme comprising 52 flats, some private housing and some in shared ownership. The building was on a steeply sloping site adjacent to a canal and involved building over an existing main Victorian sewer whilst maintaining a 3m easement either side. Combined with restrictions on column layouts imposed by the parking, this resulted in complex foundations and a 600mm thick transfer slab over. |
