Structural Form
Sports Hall – 9m high Steel framed building using braced steel columns for maximum efficiency
On shallow foundations, the ground floor is of suspended construction due to the depth of fill.
New Design Technology Building (Science Block) is of RC frame construction, with a lightweight metal deck roof, the rc first floor flat slab accommodated the striking cantilever boxes at first floor level.
New NEET single storey building is of timber frame construction to meet the sustainability requirements, valued at £1m provides a large multi-function hall, changing rooms and classrooms and administration. The main area of the roof is of brown sedum construction.
