Structural Form
The refurbishment areas involved three types of structure as follows: load-bearing masonry construction with pre-cast concrete floors and gang-nail roof; reinforced concrete frame construction and steel frame construction.
It was important that BP undertook a thorough investigation of the building to ensure that the modifications carefully considered the varying nature of the structure.
