Structural Form
Major refurbishment – The structural scheme formulated was based on a steel frame with composite concrete floors designed so that key service routes would pass through the shallow beams. Foundations were piled with depths to avoid surcharge to the adjacent London Underground tube tunnels.
Comments
We have had a lengthy involvement with the hotel over the company’s history. This includes the investigations and repairs of the pre-cast concrete cladding panels of the Hotel façade, both in the early days of Bolton Priestley and currently; redevelopment of the public amenity space at the hotel from 1998, including extension of the restaurants and provision of extended meeting spaces, conference and break out space and numerous smaller refurbishment projects.
