Single storey loadbearing masonry medium secure psychiatric ward with pre-cast concrete beam& block ceiling supporting plant over and a cut timber roof supported on steel beams.

Comments

The building was severely damaged by a fire started in one of the bedrooms which quickly spread into and destroyed much of the roof. Bolton Priestley responded immediately to carry out a structural assessment and advise which parts of the building could remain occupied. We subsequently prepared a report on the fire damage outlining remedial works required and were appointed as structural engineers for the remedial works contract.
